Human rights, women, democracy

The complex issue of promoting human rights and democracy is of central importance in the Arab world, although most parties have been calls that have launched an alert on this. These voices have warned that the danger that this democratic steps into the background and is set aside in many Arab countries is very real. The wave of promotion of democracy supported it absolutely wrong by outgoing U.S., it now seems finally passed, and there is no new international guidelines to give new impetus, possibly through more appropriate approaches. Meanwhile the human rights situation in many Arab countries remains quite precarious, and in some cases even decline, as many observers claim in North Africa and the Middle East. Many of them have warned that the

great issues of freedom of expression, women's rights, pluralism and political rights, could not find space for many years, in the presence of leaders who often do not seem willing to open space democratic political competition, but also because of the large pockets of poverty and crisis, wars and conflicts, which are hotbeds of instability, of injustice, inequality, and poverty. Outbreaks of this nature, as history has shown, they are invariably an obstacle to the flourishing of democracy and respect for human rights.
